Childhood & Adolescence
Do you know that children also face problems as we adults do?
Oh! What type of problems they face
Due to Physiological alteration Children face variety of problems which we usually ignore. We parents are alarmed only when their academic performance goes down. Most children are not able to express their feelings in words so we could not understand what they are going through.
Some disorders in children are caused by neuro-chemical problems or structural abnormalities of the brain. They can be innate (i.e., appearing at or shortly after birth); or they may result from a physical stress such as illness or injury, or an emotional stress, such as trauma or loss. On the other hand Behavioral problems are outward signs of difficulty the child is facing at home, at school, or among friends. Behavioral problems may also result from physical or emotional stress. But sometimes a clear demarcation between brain-based and behavioral disorders is somewhat arbitrary. Brain-based disorders such as ADHD clearly impact a child's behavior in school and at home, and vice versa, many disorders have both behavioral and biological component in them.
